What’s in my bag? – Annie Edition

Hello! So, you’ve seen what’s in Hannah’s bag, so I thought I’d share with you what is in mine.

The bag itself is from SkinnyDip; totally random and I never usually buy bags from there but I was sucked in my a promotional email advertising the sale. I usually veer towards bigger bags and then end up filling them with junk so I decided to try a smaller bag this time and keep it more organised. The only trouble with a smaller bag is that you can’t fit in a water bottle and I like to keep one on hand when I’m out so it just means carrying it instead.

Of course, I keep my purse in my handbag. Mine is from DKNY and was a gift from my girlfriends for my birthday a couple of years ago. I really love the layout of it but do wish there was more space for cards; I have so many loyalty cards, it’s actually stupid.  I try not to fill it with too much cash because it makes it heavy and I worry about misshaping it.

Since moving the university, I have bought myself a smaller card wallet because the key to get into my flat is a card and it’s so handy to have it in a smaller wallet instead of my massive purse or floating around loosely in my pocket. I also keep my student bank card and a couple of loyalty cards that I use on a weekly basis in it, along with my student wash card. Super interesting, I know! I would actually recommend this to anyone because it’s also super handy on a night out as it fits perfectly into any clutch or pocket.

For Christmas this year, I received a little velour pouch that I use to keep the odds and ends in my purse all in one place. It’s a great place to keep pens (so they don’t draw all over your bag), lip gloss, hand cream, ‘lady hygiene’ stuff, plasters, tissues, a couple of hairbands. It’s also really handy for when you change handbags to just throw the little pouch into a new bag instead of transferring everything separately.

I always have a couple of cereal bars in my handbag just in case I start feeling hungry when I’m on the go and there isn’t anywhere to pick something up. Keeping on top of my hunger levels also helps me to manage my anxiety a little better.

I literally live my life by my diary because if I don’t write it down, I will NEVER remember it. Whilst putting my appointments and everything in my phone is fine, there’s something really satisfying about ticking something off when it’s complete and I find it easier to keep track of everything.

So there we have it, that’s what I keep in my bag on a regular basis. It can change depending on where I’m going, obviously, but that is what I keep with me every day.

Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed! Let me know if there are any essentials that I should be keeping in my handbag and have missed and head over to our Instagram for mini reviews and extra photos.
