So, unless you have been living under a rock for about a year, possibly more, you will have heard all the hype about Micellar water. If you have you will also without a doubt had an argument/ heated discussion with someone about how you pronounce ‘Micellar’.
I had been using Nivea sensitive skin Micellar water, as someone gave it to me and I fell in love and have now been through 3-4 bottles. Because I loved this one so much I never really felt the need to try anything new. Honestly, I was almost frightened because of the massive benefits the Nivea one had on my skin that that would all go away if I tried a new one.
I am super lazy when it comes to taking off my makeup so anything that speeds the process up is much appreciated. Hence my love for Micellar water. It’s so easy pop some of a cotton pad and massage and there are three benefits all in one. Makeup is removed, skin is cleansed and moisturised. Is there anything quicker? Then flop into bed. Sorted!
So normally I would be afraid of oil, as I have oily to combination skin. But I was just so intrigued when I saw the Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water in Boots that I just had to try. I had also heard good things on the internet. So, why not, I thought. Honestly no regrets. None at all! My favourite bit about this the smell. My God, it smells good. Seriously. I actually get excited about removing my makeup just so that I can use this product. It is also so nourishing my skin feels like I have just moisturised after I use it, no joke.
I only use this product at night as the thought of oil before all my makeup still makes me feel a bit uneasy. Maybe I will give it a go and pluck up the courage. But at the moment I think that I will stick with my Nivea formula for the mornings as a cleanser and prep for my makeup.
So this product comes in the same packaging as the ordinary Micellar water but inside the oil sits on top of the water so you have to shake it up before you use it, otherwise, you would just get a whole load of oil. The only thing that slightly worries me about this is that there seems to be a lot of water and not so much oil, so what happens towards the end? Does the oil run out before the water? Are you left with a weird murky mixture of the two? I don’t know, but hopefully, they will run out at the same time and all will be good.
So currently this is on sale in Boots so if you are in the UK run, don’t walk, to your nearest Boots and pick one up! Or, if you are lazy and that’s why you are buying this ultimate lazy person’s product, you could just click this link.
If you are interested in the other Nivea formula that I also use you can find that it Boots as well or just here. I use the sensitive skin one, which is a little bit more expensive I believe but worth it for me, as I react to everything!
Thank you for reading. I would love to know how you all got on with this product or if you have any other Micellar favourites, let me know in the comments below.
